This garden was aimed at minimising maintenance while drawing the eye the out to the wonderful views of Mana Island and to the South Island beyond. A raw material palette of concrete, corten steel, timber and hardy coastal planting help to ground the garden in its landscape context while blurring its boundaries to enable the “borrowed landscape” to become part of the garden.
